“The music on North Star was originally written at the suggestion of Barbara Rose for the film, Mark Di Suvero, Sculptor, directed by François de Menil for Parrot Productions Ltd. In most cases, the titles of the selections refer to works by Di Suvero which appear in the film. For the purpose of making a record a certain amount of rearranging and remixing was necessary. Also, a different sequence was chosen in order to produce an independent and coherent listening experience.” Composer: Philip Glass Performer: Philip Glass: Farfisa, Yahama & Hammond Organs, Fender Rhodes Piano, Arp, Synthesizer Dickie Landry: Soprano & Tenor Saxophones, Flute Joan Labarbara and Gene Rickard: Voices TRACKS: 01 Étoile Polaire (North Star) 2:35 02 Victor's Lament 3:35 03 River Run 1:50 04 Mon Père, Mon Père 3:52 05 Are Years What? I'm beginning here to resurrect some of the works that "disappeared" from Avax or were "abandoned" from the original uploaders. There's not a real thought behind it, I'm just cleaning up my HDs and following the wind. What I downloaded long ago is flowing back. All credits go to the first uploader. Enjoy...
