Christoph Graupner (1683-1760) attended the Thomasschule in Leipzig, where his teacher, Johann Kuhnau, was Bach’s predecessor as cantor. Between 1730 and 1735, Graupner worked on a huge collection of not less than 5625 four-part canons on the same theme whereby he apparently hoped to penetrate the secrets of this most tightly-governed genre in music.

Antichi Strumenti

I'm beginning here to resurrect some of the works that "disappeared" from Avax or were "abandoned" from the original uploaders. There's not a real thought behind it, I'm just cleaning up my HDs and following the wind. What I downloaded long ago is flowing back. All credits go to the first uploader. Enjoy...

mt, thank you for posting the fileserve link, but it leads to an empty file. Hopefully someone out there could post the file to one of the USA-user-friendly hosts (rapidshare, mediafire, etc).

Yes, the file seems to be there but I can only download 0 bytes. It's a joke.

Thanks for checking, Toutatis! My experience with this download is the same. Empty file. 0 bytes.

And hey! Thanks for the filevelocity link! It's a little slow (looks like it will take over 3 hours), but at least it works, that's all that matters.

Would it be too much to ask that you do the same with the Purcell Complete Ayres for the Theatre? The current links are inaccessible from the US. (The most reliable downloads lately have been from Filefactory, for what it's worth.)

Thanks again.

Thank you for providing the additional Purcell links. It's most appreciated.

With blistering DL speeds of up to 7Kbs, Filevelocity was only slightly faster than mail order, so I hope that no one minds that I re-upped to another mirror that is a little more stable and quicker.
